General Information about Mission Trips & Workshops
|
|
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the main thrust of day will be engaging in hands on mission, mission tours, and workshops. Carefully read the information about the trips and workshops noting when each is held. Most mission trips will be two-day commitments. We hope that this will give sufficient time to make a difference with our efforts. There are a number of on-campus workshops being offered as well so you will need to read carefully to choose trips and workshops that do not conflict.
Mark your first and second choice for mission trips and your choices of workshops on the registration page. You will be notified which mission trip & workshops you are assigned in the confirmation information. |

Workshop Descriptions (on-site)
| 1. Worship and Music - all day |
Both Tues & Wed |
Worship is the unique act of a believer. From the Sermon on the Mount to the Billy Graham Crusades, it is where people come to know the amazing grace of Jesus Christ. Good worship is at the heart of fulfilling the Great Commission and becoming a missional church. "Jazz in worship is an idea that was born in the sacred works of Duke Ellington," states Warren Cooper. This workshop will explore how to make worship missional using a professional, biblical, and theological approach to make worship exciting, modern and relevant while remaining true to our reformed roots.

Do you know why our message, “All are Welcome!” is sometimes heard with an “except you” attached? This workshop will lift up some of the rules, assumptions and values of economic differences and explore specific strategies for dealing with them. An insightful workshop based on the research of Ruby Payne. Carolyn Stevens
