Rev. Dr. John Strock dies

The Synod of the Trinity expresses their sadness on receiving the news of the death of the Rev. Dr. John Stock, 93, on Saturday, July 22, 2006.

Active in the Synod until retiring in 1979, John served as Regional Associate Executive.  Prior to assuming this position, Dr. Strock was executive of the former Synod of West Virginia.  Born to a Presbyterian minister, John was active his entire life in the Presbyterian Church (USA).  Please read his complete obituary.

Funeral services were held on Friday, July 28, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church, Parkersburg.  Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1341 Juliana Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101.
