The Synod is saddened to learn of the unexpected death of former Moderator, the Rev. Dr. Jason Jerome Cooper on Saturday, December 29, 2007. Pastor of New Spirit Community Presbyterian Church, Dr. Cooper had served the Synod as Moderator (1984-1985) and on the Synod Council and Executive Committee.
He was the beloved husband of Diana Cooper, and father of Warren B. Cooper and Brian Sinclair.
Services will be held at New Spirit Community Church, 5736 Chester Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19143 as follows:
