No matter your ministry, we’re all in God’s choir

One Joyful Choir

November 17, 2007 Kimmel Center, Philadelphia
Activities begin at 9 am - Concert at 3 pm

The John Gloucester House Ministry Board in cooperation with the Presbytery of Philadelphia presents One Joyful Choir including 61 churches and more than 500 choir members from the presbytery.  This music festival is a daylong event and will be filled with activities for people of all ages and will benefit the John Gloucester House, Chester Eastside Ministries, Camp Kirkwood, the Point Breeze Habitat for Humanity project, and the Presbytery of Philadelphia's Urban Ministry Outreach.

Exhibits and activities begin at 9 am at Broad Street Ministries, 315 Broad Street, Philadelphia across from The Kimmel Center for Performing Arts (left).  The 3 pm choir performance in Verizon Hall will be directed by world-renowned director Dr. Anton Armstrong (right) of St. Olaf College, St. Paul, MN.  The choir, which includes voices from approximately half of the 138 PC(USA) churches in the Philadelphia area, will be accompanied by brass, organ and percussion.  Click here to see pictures of the choir at their recent practices.
