Re: Harmonsburg PC

Any financial assistance would be welcome from sister congregations for the Harmonsburg Church in the wake of a devastating fire.  Gifts, or other offers of assistance, can be made to the Harmonsburg Church at P.O. Box 124, Harmonsburg, PA 16422 or to the Presbytery of Lake Erie at 2816 Elmwood Avenue, Erie, PA 16508.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance representatives will meet with the Session on Saturday, January 19 and will also meet with me as General Presbyter.  The PDA people will also worship with the Harmonsburg Church on Sunday morning as a testimony of the larger church standing with them in their time of grief.  PDA will bring their resources to bear on the congregational needs in coming weeks as well.

As General Presbyter I will meet with congregation in their annual meeting on Sunday, January 27.  On January 28 representatives of the Committee on Ministry, the Congregational Life Committee and myself will meet with the Session to assess the situation and begin to plan for the future.  Your prayers are solicited as the Session and congregation address a multitude of challenging issues.
