Developed
by the Communications Task Force and approved at the 2004
October Synod meeting held in Carlisle, PA, our new logo
was created to represent all of our members within the Synod
of the Trinity and be a symbol of our future.
The
skyscrapers, the pavement, and the farm symbolize our diversity;
the freshly plowed field in the foreground represents the
Synod's future growth. Joining hands together, the Synod
consists of 16 presbyteries, about 1,307 congregations,
nearly 300,000 Presbyterians, seven PC (U.S.A.) affiliated
colleges, and the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, making
our Synod the oldest and, one of the largest in the Presbyterian
Church (U.S.A.).
Whether
in large cities or small towns, in the mountains and farmland,
in the bustling suburbs and the quiet forests, the People
of God in the Synod of the Trinity join hands in faith to
serve Jesus Christ with Joy, with Hope, and with a boundless
Faith.
